The Role
As an MET Technician, you will play a crucial part in ensuring vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and in line with manufacturer and industry standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Inspecting structural, mechanical and electrical components
* Removing, cataloguing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim parts
* Reassembling vehicles following repair and conducting detailed quality checks
* Ensuring all safety-critical components are correctly fitted and torqued
* Performing 4-wheel alignments and beam setting adjustments where required
* Completing quality control checks, ATA documentation and final sign-off
* Identifying additional faults or repair requirements
* Safely handling and disposing of vehicle fluids and gases
* Maintaining tools, equipment and a clean, safe workspace
* Following approved repair methods and ensuring accurate documentation
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in motor vehicle body repair
* Auto electrical qualifications with practical experience
* Knowledge of computerised wheel alignment systems
* Strong mechanical and suspension knowledge
* A full UK driving licence
* Air Conditioning and Encapsulated Glass training (preferred)
* A positive, flexible and team-focused attitude
* High attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility
