Pay starts at £13.35 an hour, increasing to £14.56 inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you prefer fewer hours, you can work a minimum of 12 hours.
The availability windows for shifts are:
* Sunday: 17:00‑23:00
* Monday: 17:00‑23:00
* Thursday: 17:00‑23:00
* Friday: 17:00‑23:00
* Saturday: 17:00‑23:00
Our Customer Delivery Drivers are the face of Tesco on the road, delivering to customers across the UK. It is more than just driving – it’s about meeting people, providing excellent service, and helping others with a smile.
It is a hands‑on, physical role full of variety. No two shifts are the same, and customers rely on you for a range of support services. While you have the autonomy of your own schedule, you are supported by a team of Managers and colleagues back at base.

Responsibilities
* Ensure the van and trays are clean and organized.
* Leave the yard tidy and clear of rubbish, picking up litter as seen.
* Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
* Load the van, checking its roadworthiness.
* Inform customers of any order changes, including short‑code items, substitutions, and refunds.
* Treat all products and deliveries as if they were your own.
* Explain to customers that they will not be charged more for substitutions.
* Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
* Call the customer before arrival if early.
* Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Build relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit.
* Show warmth and friendliness in all customer and colleague interactions.
* Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
* Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations, balancing home and work effectively.
* Share improvement ideas with your manager and peers.
* Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than three penalty points.
