We are looking for a salaried GP to join the Practiceoffering 4-8 session per week. You will receive approximately six weeks' annual leave, and will be part of the NHS pension scheme.

Main duties of the job
Platforms used in the Practice include Emis, AccuRX, Docman,DXS and ERS. The Practice also offer e-consultation for patients.
Ideal candidates need to be committed to delivering highquality, team based care and have strong attention to details. We are ideallyseeking a GP who can start as soon as possible.
Experienced and newly qualified GPs are welcome to apply aslong as you are approved by the GMC and on the National Performers List.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check includingchecks against the barred list will be carried out as part of our recruitmentprocedures and also throughout employment. The responsibility for payment ofthis lies with the Practice.
It is a requirement that safeguarding training will remainup to date and the safeguarding policies and procedures in place within thePractice will be adhered to during employment.

About us
St Georges Medical Centre is a GMS teaching practice with alist size of 11,300 on the Isle of Sheppey serving a diverse community. Ourwarm and friendly Surgery is led by five GP partners with a diversemulti-disciplinary team consisting of Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners,Nurse Associates, Healthcare Assistants and a Phlebotomist. The Practice isalso supported and managed by a strong and experienced Practice Manager, SeniorTeam Leaders, Administrators and Receptionists. We are fully registered withand regulated by the CQC. Our main Surgery is located a few minutes walk fromSheerness Town Centre, with two branch sites serving the eastern side of theIsland in Leysdown and Eastchurch. Wealso have on-site dispensaries at our smaller branch sites.
Job responsibilities
In accordance with the Practice timetable, asagreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a varietyof duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries,visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions anddealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely manner.
Making professional, autonomous decisions inrelation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcareworkers within the organisation
Assessing the health care needs of patients withundifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
Screening patients for disease risk factors andearly signs of illness
In consultation with patients and in line withcurrent Practice disease protocols, developing care plans for health
Providing counselling and health education
Admitting or discharging patients to and fromthe caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate
Recording clear and contemporaneous notes to theagreed standards
Collecting data for audit purposes and complyingwith QOF requirements
Delivering enhanced services
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acuteand repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions wheneverpossible)
Prescribing in accordance with the Practiceprescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
In general the post-holder will be expected toundertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GPworking within primary care
Awareness of and compliance with all relevantPractice policies/guidelines

Contributing to the evaluation/audit andclinical standard setting within the organisation

Informationrelating to patients, carers, colleagues and other healthcare workers or thebusiness of the Practice may only be divulged to authorised persons inaccordance with the Practice policies and procedures relating toconfidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.
