Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Land Referencer to join our Land Referencing & Geospatial team.
You’ll play a key role within our Land Referencing & Geospatial Team, supporting the delivery of accurate land interest data, plans, and documentation that underpin major infrastructure development schemes. You will assist in gathering, managing, and validating land ownership and occupancy information to ensure compliance with national infrastructure planning, land acquisition requirements, stakeholder engagement processes, and statutory submissions.
This is a home-based position, and your focus will be in the following areas:
•Support the land referencing programme by collecting, reviewing, and maintaining accurate land ownership, land interest, and occupancy information.
•Interrogate and interpret HM Land Registry (HMLR) datasets.
•Assist in the preparation of land plans, schedules of interests, Book of Reference content, and supporting documentation required for statutory processes such as DCO and CPO submissions.
•Engage with landowners, occupiers, and third-party stakeholders as required to verify information, obtain missing details, and support consultation and engagement activities.
•Assist with data validation, quality assurance processes, and the integration of land referencing information into geospatial systems, databases, and reporting tools.
•Ensure all land referencing outputs adhere to national standards, project specifications, GDPR requirements, and relevant statutory frameworks.

The wider Rural division operates across the UK, with a network of 37 offices and a number of estate offices from Inverness in the North to Truro in the South-West.
