About the Role As a Religious Education Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons that encourage students to explore key religious and ethical concepts while developing analytical, discussion, and evaluation skills. Key responsibilities include: Teaching RE across Key Stages 3–5, including GCSE and A-Level Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured, and differentiated lessons Monitoring and assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback Supporting curriculum development and resource creation within the RE department Promoting discussion, reflection, and critical thinking in the classroom Encouraging students to develop ethical awareness and cultural understanding Contributing to extra-curricular activities, enrichment, and RE-related events Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment Experience and Qualifications The ideal candidate will: Hold a degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject Possess QTS or PGCE Have experience teaching RE at secondary school level, ideally including GCSE and A-Level Demonstrate strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills Be committed to fostering student curiosity, engagement, and achievement Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about Religious Education.
