VANRATH has partnered with one of Northern Ireland's most established Heavy Vehicle Dealerships. The organization is recruiting a Workshop Supervisor position.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join a longstanding company that offers many routes for progression.
Permanent role.
Place of work: Coleraine

Key Responsibilities:
1. Day-to-day responsibility for the smooth running of the depot workshop.
2. Job allocation, planning, and execution, taking account of technician capabilities.
3. Maximising staff utilization and sold hours, ensuring high levels of workshop productivity.
4. Planning workshop space for maximum efficiency.
5. Ensuring all vehicles are road tested as required and appropriate.
6. Managing holidays and sickness absences to ensure adequate cover for scheduled work completion.
7. Coaching technicians and apprentices to develop their skills, knowledge, and capabilities.
8. Liaising with the training department to ensure technician availability for training courses.
9. Liaising closely with the parts department to ensure the timely availability of required parts.
10. Ensuring all job cards are signed off with the appropriate level and quality of information.
11. Completing quality checks to ensure adherence to "right first time" standards regarding service, repair, and PSV.
12. Checking completed job cards for accuracy and completeness.
13. Ensuring all defects are reported to the customer with quotes provided.
14. Challenging technicians on efficiency, sold hours, lost time, vehicle cleanliness, etc.
15. Reporting maintenance issues in the workshop.
16. Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and company guidelines.
17. Performing ad hoc duties as directed by the Dealerpoint Manager or Directors.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Strong technical knowledge and background in heavy commercial vehicles is essential.
2. Possess a strong commercial focus with an understanding of factors affecting technician efficiency and utilization.
3. Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and adapt to changing operational needs.
4. Hold a full, valid driving license.
