Housing Sustainment AdvisorLOCATION: PlymouthDURATION:PermanentSALARY: £25,861.56 - £27,120.13HOURS: Full-time, 37.5 (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm) About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Housing Sustainment Advisor to deliver a high-quality Intensive Housing Management (IHM) service across Plymouth. This is a community-based role where you will work closely with Housing Officers and support teams to help individuals sustain their tenancies, live independently, and progress toward long-term housing goals. You’ll take a person-centred, strengths-based approach, supporting customers with practical housing advice while addressing underlying challenges.Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular home visits to review customer progress and agree support plans
* Support customers to maintain safe, clean, and well-managed accommodation
* Provide guidance on property upkeep and use of household appliances
* Assist with budgeting, income maximisation, and accessing grants/charities
* Support housing-related processes including benefit evidence and housing applications
* Liaise with contractors and attend appointments for property access
* Report and follow up on repairs and maintenance issues
* Facilitate house meetings to encourage engagement and shared responsibility
* Complete risk and needs assessments, working alongside external agencies
* Identify safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals
* Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service reviews
* Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
