Job Role As a Quality Control Inspector, you’ll play a vital role in monitoring safety, compliance, and quality across materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods. Responsibilities Set up and calibrate advanced tools like DFT gauges, surface roughness testers, gloss meters, and height gauges to perform part inspections. Perform inspections using precision instruments, including FARO, bore mics, feeler gauges, surface tables, and more. Populate and manage FAIRs, in line with manufacturing deadlines. Raise and document NCRs, implement containment measures, and identify corrective actions. Lead or assist in RCCA investigations to resolve non-conformities. Ensure proper quarantine procedures for non-compliant materials and products. Manage internal and external calibration requirements and maintain accurate records. Check and authorise final product release certifications. Conduct roaming and first-off inspections across departments, supporting process improvements. Assist in reducing parts’ time on shelves by identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Verify material and process compliance by tracing documentation back to contractual requirements. Proactively suggest improvements to quality policies and processes. Assist operators with scheduling concerns and provide solutions to quality questions. Actively contribute to internal audits and maintain compliance with ISO9001 standards. Requirements Proven quality control and inspection experience Sheet metal experience and a solid understanding of engineering drawings, complex assembly and welding. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability. A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop. Desirable Expertise: Knowledge of ISO9001 or experience in a manufacturing environment.
