Manage the day-to-day operations of Catering, Cleaning, Portering (where applicable), and laundry services within hospital wards and departments (where applicable). Collaborate with the Facilities Manager, Deputy Facilities Manager, Ward Manager, and Matron to ensure a safe and hygienic environment supporting patient care. Ensure the execution of various cleaning, housekeeping, and catering duties, and oversee the Facilities Team to maintain standards set by the Trust, Department, and Government Guidance.

Responsible for E-roster management within facilities, inputting staff hours, and ensuring adherence to budget limits. Prioritize and manage a challenging workload independently, handling interruptions from staff, calls, emails, and contractors with immediate attention. Make decisions and address departmental, patient, and contractor queries.

Manage the production of safe catering for patients, staff, and visitors. Oversee onsite facilities contractors to ensure contractual compliance, resolve issues, and report estate requests. Monitor job outcomes and escalate incomplete tasks to the Community Facilities Management Team.

Main duties include managing workload, maintaining awareness, working independently, and responding flexibly to interruptions. Handle complex enquiries, sometimes leaving current tasks to respond immediately. Manage the Facilities Team's daily operations, including rostering, cleaning schedules, workload allocation, and checks on cleaning materials.

Liaise with external companies regarding Health & Safety, COSHH, new equipment, and regulations. Ensure staff are aware of COSHH, Risk Assessments, Data Sheets, and chemical use protocols. Conduct regular supervision, 1-1 meetings, and team discussions. Attend relevant meetings and oversee contractor work periodically. Arrange production and delivery for internal and external functions.
