Specialist Vehicle Technician - Chesterfield
1. Basic Salary up to c. £34,000 depending on experience
2. Minimal Saturdays and plenty of overtime available
3. Mon - Fri, 830 - 530 with a half hour lunch break
4. Independent Garage with Main Dealer level of service
5. Join a garage with high level diagnostic tools that does motorsport and racing work as well as general service work
6. You will have the opportunity to train in things like tuning and remapping, so long as you have qualifications and experience in vehicle mechanics and a passion for cars
Our client is an automotive business in Chesterfield, which is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their team as it grows. This garage is known track and race work as well as performance elements like tuning and remapping, so experience in these areas would be helpful, although full training is provided where needed.
Responsibilities of this Vehicle Technician role:
7. Repair and service vehicles
8. Undertake major engine and electrical work
9. Complete diagnostic checks
10. Inspect vehicles for wear and tear/general faults
11. Tuning, retrofitting, engine work, track and race work: you don't necessarily need experience in these things as full training will be provided
The ideal Vehicle Technician will have:
12. Level 3 qualification or the equivalent level of skill
13. Experience working in a garage or main dealer
14. Excellent technical knowledge
15. Full UK driving licence
16. Own set of tools
17. A passion for cars as well as an interest in motorsport and racing
The successful Vehicle Technician will get:
18. Basic salary of up to c. £34,000 depending on experience
19. Limited Saturday mornings
20. Work for a garage with dealership level diagnostic tools and get involved with motorsport and racing
