PEOPLE SERVICES MANAGER | £55,000 per annum plus 18% bonus scheme
Hybrid role with 2 days office-based and 3 days home-working.
We're looking for a talented and driven People Services Manager to lead our People Services Operations and Payroll teams. In this pivotal management role, you'll work closely with the Head of People Services to design and implement a new shared services model, optimising our centralised service proposition and driving operational excellence across the organisation.

You'll play a key role in shaping the colleague experience, ensuring our People Services deliver at the highest standard, and support the strategic direction of our business.

As People Services Manager you'll be involved in:

* Leading & inspiring: Manage and develop the People Services Admin and Payroll teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, engagement, and professional -growth
* Building for the future: Create and launch our new Tier One Service Desk team, setting KPIs and SLAs, and ensuring the team is ready to deliver outstanding service from day one
* Driving excellence: Oversee the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant HR processes, with seamless handoffs to Centres of Excellence and HR Business Partners
* Champion data & analytics: Use operational analytics to monitor service usage, identify trends, and support scenario planning for organisational change
* Innovating & improving: Collaborate with HR Systems/Technology to spot automation opportunities and implement process improvements
* Enhancing colleague experience: Establish continuous feedback loops (Voice of the Customer) to ensure we're always improving our service
* Ensuring compliance: Work with the People Services Governance Manager to keep payroll services compliant and audit-ready, and help develop robust business continuity plans
* Supporting change: Take an active role in the implementation of our HCM – 'Dayforce', ensuring smooth transitions and effective training for all stakeholders
* Being a trusted partner: Act as a key point of contact for HR colleagues and stakeholders, providing solutions and escalating issues as needed

About You

* Proven experience in HR Shared Services within a large, complex organisation
* A strong background in managing HR admin and payroll teams
* Expertise in process optimisation and HR system implementation
* Demonstrable leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing teams
* Experience with Lean Six Sigma (or similar methodologies)
* CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent)
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making
* Change management experience and adaptability
* Results-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement

HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Your working hours will typically be Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. However, flexibility may be required.

This role will be hybrid with 2 days in the office and 3 days home-working. There will also be some travel required to our village locations.
