Part-time position available on our Aberdeen campus. Licensure in social work, professional counseling, or a similar field is required. (LMSW/LGPC required; LCSW-C/LCPC preferred). Clinical supervision is available for all clinical team members.
Providing a vast continuum of behavioral health care in outpatient, intensive outpatient, and psychiatric day treatment programs, you will be able to thrive and grow professionally with our strong leadership team.
Our counselors/therapists collaborate with the behavioral health team, medical team, and community stakeholders. Responsibilities include completing psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and crisis de-escalation. They work independently to evaluate and recommend appropriate levels of care for behavioral health patients based on diagnostic criteria.
Therapists work with diverse populations, age groups, and diagnoses. They serve as primary educators on mental health topics to patients and families. They facilitate patient-centered, trauma-informed brief individual, family, and group therapy, and coordinate discharge and aftercare services as needed.

Qualifications
Education & Training: Master’s Degree in Human Services (e.g., Social Work, Professional Counseling). Licensed as an LGPC or LMSW in Maryland is required.
Work Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience working with individuals with mental illness in an acute psychiatric setting is preferred.
Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of behavioral health clinical practices, including psychosocial assessments, trauma-informed therapy, discharge planning, and service coordination. Familiarity with community resources, insurance, and regulations. Strong critical thinking, communication, prioritization, and adaptability skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners and respond to crisis situations.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $30.26 - $42.37
Other Compensation: $2,500 Sign-on Bonus
