Summary: As a Production Operative in the Woodshop at Morgan Motor Company, you will play a crucial role in crafting high-quality wooden components for our luxury sports cars. This position requires precision and attention to detail as you machine and assemble parts that contribute to the iconic design of our vehicles. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction by ensuring that every component meets our high standards of excellence. Responsibilities: Machine component parts using trencher, spindle moulder, overhead router, band saws, and re-saw. Assemble wooden body frames and doors from component parts using hand tools, power tools, air tools, and build fixtures. Assist with Apprentice training as necessary to foster skill development within the team. Perform jig and pattern making as required for production needs. Supervise work experience students when needed to ensure quality learning experiences. Conduct stock taking and maintain inventory levels within the woodshop. Handle deliveries to the wood shed using forklift trucks if qualified. Qualifications: Time served Apprenticeship in Joinery/Carpentry/Wood Machining or equivalent experience. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications in Joinery/Carpentry/Wood Machining preferred. Previous experience working in a Wood Mill environment with relevant machinery is essential. Ability to read technical drawings, assembly manuals, and schematic diagrams accurately is required. Experience with jig making is beneficial but not mandatory. A forklift truck license is desirable but not essential.
