About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Southern Region, based on site, to run a £43m new school build in Oxford. Must have main contractor experience and have managed projects of similar size and type.
This is a full-time, permanent role. Ideally 42.5 hours over 5 days per week, with a start time of 8:30 am and finish at 5:30 pm.
Duties of the Role:
* Ensure accurate and timely reporting.
* Tackle difficult issues early.
* Financial control of the project, maximizing profitability while maintaining client and supply chain relationships.
* Identify and eliminate risk.
* Aspire to the highest standards of quality, service, and business performance.
* Develop and strengthen relationships with clients and their teams.
* Drive and maintain financial and commercial control.
* Maintain professional and considerate relationships.
* Lead the team effectively.
* Support the Contracts Manager/Operations Director in project delivery.
* Develop relationships with the supply chain.
* Manage and mitigate Extension of Time or Delay Claims.
* Lead the Value Engineering process.
* Manage dispute settlement.

* Accurate administration and compliance with standards.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.

* Good knowledge of construction and contractual matters.
