Our stunning new home, Egerton Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 64-bed care facility situated in the picturesque village of Egerton, Bolton. Opened in October 2023, it provides high standards of safety, comfort, and care for residents with diverse needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology and offer engaging daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo comprehensive induction, and receive ongoing training through our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on employing a permanent staff team, with no agency staff for over four years, ensuring continuity of care and building trust with residents. All staff are paid at least the national living wage.
We are seeking a kind, caring, and motivated Team Leader to join our team. You will support the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager in leading the care team and managing the home effectively 24/7 within available resources. This is a full-time role offering an excellent hourly rate of £12.25. Shift times are 07:45-20:00, with alternate weekends. To qualify, you must have experience in medication management and administration.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Promote the highest standard of person-centred clinical nursing care for residents.
2. Manage and supervise the care team, ensuring quality care delivery during shifts.
3. Serve as a role model demonstrating person-centred care.
4. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults under your responsibility.
5. Oversee the delivery of personalised care plans for residents.
6. Support professional standards within the home, assisting the Deputy and Home Manager.
7. Provide supervision, coaching, and assessments to Care Assistants.
8. Ensure accurate assessment, planning, and evaluation of resident care through written care plans.
9. Maintain proper records as required by company policies and regulatory bodies.
10. Manage daily rotas and delegate workload to ensure safe staffing levels.
11. Complete new admission files within one week of arrival, involving the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
12. Build relationships with external professionals.
13. Assist in conducting regular quality audits of care plans.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Medication management and administration experience.
* Experience working with older people.
* NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, or achievement within the first 12 months of employment.
* Ability to contribute to assessment, planning, and evaluation of care needs.
* Knowledge of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Self-motivated and confident.
