Are you an experienced Intervention Worker looking for a new challenge within a dynamic and supportive team? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Senior Intervention Worker to join our Children's Services, reporting to the Assistant Team Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the safeguarding and well-being of children and families in our local community.
The Role
Responsibilities
As a Senior Intervention Worker, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality intervention and support services to children and families. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Working directly with children and families to assess their needs and provide appropriate interventions.
* Implementing evidence-based strategies to promote positive change and improve outcomes for children.
* Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to ensure coordinated support for families.
* Conducting regular reviews and evaluations of intervention plans, making adjustments as necessary.
* Providing guidance and support to less experienced colleagues, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
* Contributing to team meetings and case discussions, offering insights and recommendations.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Significant experience working as an Intervention Worker within a Children&s Services environment.
* In-depth knowledge of safeguarding principles and legislation.
* Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to identify and address the needs of children and families.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and external agencies.
* Ability to work independently, managing a caseload and prioritising tasks effectively.
* Leadership qualities, with the capacity to mentor and support junior team members.
