To succeed as a Restaurant Shift / Floor Manager, you should be a great leader and positive team player with previous experience in the restaurant and customer service sectors within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, a focus on customer satisfaction, and flexibility to work various hours (including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends) are essential.

Key Responsibilities
As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Shift/Floor Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager with responsibilities including:
Customer Service
* Lead by example, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
* Maintain customer focus in all operations.
* Accurate staff scheduling to meet customer demand.
* Support the team to ensure operational efficiency.
* Conduct regular store walks from the customer's perspective.
People
* Encourage staff to share suggestions and concerns.
* Provide performance feedback, set goals, and offer support.
* Create a positive team environment, ensuring dignity and respect for all employees, free from discrimination.
* Manage performance issues in collaboration with HR.
Driving Sales
* Understand sales patterns, popular products, and peak times, and adjust accordingly.
* Ensure products are correctly merchandised and adequately stocked, including marketing campaigns.
* Coach staff on upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
* Continuously evaluate and improve restaurant performance, motivating employees through incentives.
Operations
* Monitor key performance indicators such as sales, staff turnover, food safety, and health & safety standards.
* Set an example by remaining composed under pressure.
* Manage weekly stock orders and quality checks on incoming stock.
* Maintain equipment through scheduled preventative maintenance.
* Manage inventory levels.
* Oversee opening and closing procedures.
* Maintain cleanliness and operational standards, including food hygiene, customer experience, and speed of service.
* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed, with prompt reporting of incidents.
* Be available to work various shifts as part of the management team.
Key Requisites
* Previous experience managing restaurants.
* Flexible and disciplined approach to work.
* Experience in food environments is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Reasonable numeracy and literacy skills.
* High standards of food hygiene and safety.
* Experience handling customer complaints.
* Adherence to health and safety procedures.
