PE Teacher – Secondary School (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Southampton Start Date: April 2026 (Summer Term) Contract: Long‑term cover until July 2026 Pay: £150 – £230 per day (dependent on experience)

The Role
We are seeking a PE Teacher to join the school for the summer term, starting in April 2026. You will deliver engaging and high‑quality PE lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging participation, confidence, and a lifelong love of physical activity. The role involves contributing to a vibrant PE department that values teamwork, high standards, and inclusive practice.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver dynamic PE lessons in line with the national curriculum and the school’s values
Inspire students to participate in a broad range of sports and physical activities.
Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Contribute to extracurricular sport, clubs, and whole‑school initiatives that enrich student experience.
Uphold the school’s ethos of respect, aspiration, and personal development
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
Experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4.
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum expectations.
Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour‑management skills.
A commitment to supporting the development of confident, healthy, and motivated young people.
