Join Gilead and help create possible, together.Job DescriptionThe ED, ACE Head of Commercial Finance will lead a team of ~100 professionals and partner closely with the SVP ACE Commercial to drive a ~$4B revenue business across dozens of markets. This leader will be a thought partner to the SVP ACE Commercial and senior leadership team to drive strategic, operational, and financial analyses to facilitate quality decision making and resource allocation. This person will be responsible for demonstrating strong cross-functional communication, influencing, and strategic thinking skills that will drive value for the ACE business and Gilead.This position reports to the VP and Head of Commercial Finance, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the SVP ACE Commercial. This role will sit on both the Commercial Finance Leadership Team (CFLT) and ACE Leadership Team (ALT). Core Responsibilities:Maintain a culture of compliance and controllership across the regionLead the strategic and operational budgets/forecasts, generating new insights and analytics to drive growth and profitability across the regionDrive resource allocation and profitability by thoughtfully managing opex investments, including a close partnership with procurement to drive increased productivity/efficiency of investmentsOversee the month-end close processes, including the Gross to Net revenue process, expense accruals, management reporting, and budget vs. actual variance analysis. Partner with Accounting and Commercial teams to analyze and influence complex contract/pricing proposalsMonitor and develop insights from key business drivers including demand, pricing, and inventoryProvide ad-hoc analyses and project support for the executive leadership teamLead and empower a group of senior finance leaders; develop a highly capable and diverse team through the attraction, training, and development of professionals and culture to exceed business needs and create Gilead’s future enterprise leadersRegularly interacts with Gilead’s senior management on matters concerning several functional areas.Requirements:BS or BA is required and an MBA or CPA is strongly preferredExtensive finance leadership experience with increasing scope and responsibility, with solid management experiencePrior experience in biotech or pharma in a commercial finance leadership role is required; strong preference for major biopharma finance leadership roles in the US and ex-US.In-depth proficiency in aspects of accounting and finance and knowledge of US GAAP is requiredExperience in high growth, multinational organization is a plusCompetencies:Team-based and collaborative work style.
