Accounts Payable Finance Specialist Overview Our manufacturing client isseeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Finance Specialist to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable processes, and they are looking for a professional with a strong background in accounts payable, preferably with SAP experience. Benefits Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract Hours: Lovely 35 hour working week Salary: Up to 32,000 per annum Other benefits: 23 days annual leave bank holidays 1 day off for birthday (After probation) 1 Personal Leave Day Avivapension scheme Salary Exchange 1 month company sick pay Free parking Responsibilities As an Accounts Payable Finance Specialist, your key responsibilities will include: Managing purchase invoices, including distribution for coding and approval, and coding invoices where required. Accurately and efficiently processing invoices. Allocating invoice expenditure appropriately. Monitoring and applying credits owed to the company. Executing daily and weekly payment runs in line with agreed schedules. Producing and maintaining Accounts Payable (AP) reports, including supplier statements. Reconciling supplier statements and addressing supplier queries promptly. Overseeing supplier payments, coordinating with the Financial Director regarding payment runs, and issuing cheques and remittance advice. Ensuring VAT is paid on appropriate invoices and maintaining accurate records of tax payments. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: Proven experience in an accounts payable role. Familiarity with SAP or similar financial systems is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
