M&E Shift Engineer – Bath – £47,500 (Rising to £50,000)
Location: Bath
Salary: £47,500 per annum (rising to £50,000 after successful completion of probation)
Hours: Continental shift pattern – 12-hour shifts

Due to continued expansion at a key site, we’re recruiting M&E Shift Engineers (Electrical, Mechanical, or Air Conditioning backgrounds) to join a leading facilities management provider for a Critical Environment near Bath.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks
2. Respond to emergency callouts and fault situations
3. Complete logbooks, RAMS, and relevant documentation
4. Attend client meetings and provide technical support
5. Conduct emergency lighting testing
6. Perform electrical works including lighting, wiring, testing, alarm systems, and BMS
7. Maintain and operate Building Management Systems (BMS)
8. Work on air conditioning systems including DX, chilled water, and adiabatic AHUs
9. Maintain generators, controls, and UPS systems
10. Work on AC/DC systems including single and three-phase motors
11. Support HV/LV systems maintenance
12. Carry out basic building fabric tasks (e.g., toilets, drainage, tiling, sinks)
Requirements:
13. Trade qualified with ideally 3+ years’ experience in building services
14. City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical (or equivalent)
15. Strong understanding of building services systems (AHU, FCU, UPS, generators, LV systems)
16. Proven fault-finding ability across mechanical and/or electrical systems
17. Excellent communication skills with strong client-facing experience
