Position: Progression Coach
The Growth Company’s (GC) Education and Skills team has an exciting new opportunity for a Progression Coach to provide quality careers support for young people. If you are passionate about empowering learners to achieve their full potential and thrive in their careers, we invite you to apply.
This is a fixed-term role until 31 July 2025.
As one of the largest providers of skills and training in the UK, we support businesses and individuals through apprenticeships, higher education, and commercial training, helping develop skills across diverse sectors and levels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one coaching, assessing strengths, interests, and career aspirations to develop personalized action plans; complete progress reviews with parents/caregivers.
2. Design and deliver workshops on CV writing, interview prep, networking, and job search techniques to enhance employability skills.
3. Offer guidance on career exploration, industry trends, and educational pathways to help learners make informed decisions.
4. Ensure reviews are completed timely, discussing career pathways and aspirations throughout the learning journey.
5. Build relationships with employers, industry professionals, and educational partners to create internship and networking opportunities.
6. Create and deliver sessions on awareness, PHSE, and embed latest trends into curriculum.
7. Provide ongoing support and mentorship, addressing concerns and connecting learners with relevant resources.
8. Maintain accurate records and utilize data analytics to assess and improve career development initiatives.

* Flexibility to travel and work occasional unsociable hours.
* Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office and career development tools.
* Experience in delivering engaging workshops and educational programs.
* Ability to build trust with learners from diverse backgrounds.
Skills Required:
* Certificate in Youth Career Coaching.
* Level 3 Careers Guidance Qualification.
* PTTLS (L4).
* Experience working with learners with SEND or additional needs.
* Experience in career coaching or related fields, preferably in education or youth development.
* Knowledge of career development theories, assessment tools, and job market trends.
* Understanding of welfare to work and customer base.
