The client is a young woman in her late 20s with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and challenging behaviours. She has an existing team of nine carers.
Due to her behaviours, she expects to go out for a walk every day in the afternoons, no matter the weather, so majority of the carers duty is to keep her safe and manage her behaviours. There isn't much personal care involved, sometimes she may require assistance during heightened periods of anxiety.
Typical shift patterns are 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Night shifts included from 8:30 PM to 9:00 AM, which is essential to cover.
Flexibility is key, 25 or more hours per week guaranteed.
Previous care experience essential
Prior experience with challenging behaviours and autism - highly desirable.
