Job Description
Turner & Townsend are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to support their delivery of works in Defence. The role sits within a fast-moving vibrant team that provide support to a range of projects and joint ventures. The individual will be a self-starter, who enjoys business partnering with a range of stakeholders, brings financial delivery experience and excel capability.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
1. Financial management on behalf of the consortium into the Defence client
2. Setting up and operating financial management processes and procedures aligned to the Authority’s financial and contractual documents.
3. Tracking and reporting against the agreed contractual KPIs.
4. Providing the Authority with access to open book finance records that are visible and transparent and in accordance with the project contract.
5. Undertaking project forecasting, budgeting, and MI reporting.
6. Manage the monthly SOX’s audits and ensuring contract is fully compliant
7. Dealing first-hand with financial/project queries from the client and suppliers.
8. Manage and analyse large volumes of data with acute attention to detail.
9. Promote and encourage positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; including project teams, clients and suppliers
10. Support the Defence Finance Lead with Ad-hoc tasks.
REPORTING
This role reports to the Defence Finance Lead.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
11. Project finances are produced to the highest standards and are completed efficiently and within deadlines
12. Cluster forecasts are populated to a high level of accuracy and within deadlines
13. Actual/forecast fee variances are kept to a minimum level
14. Month end data is analysed in detail and areas of potential risk are highlighted
15. Key information and data are accurately maintained.
16. Good relationships are developed with the JV partners, operational and finance teams.
17. Ability to effectively present information to non-finance stakeholders
18. Strong work ethic and adaptable.
Qualifications
19. Strong Business Partnering experience
20. CIMA/ACCA or QBE within an equivalent senior finance role.
21. Advanced in Excel spreadsheet development and modelling skills
22. Developed analytical skills with strong attention to detail
23. Good organisation skills that promote prioritising and meeting deadlines
24. Great problem-solving skills
25. Experience in managing and reconciling large amounts of financial and statistical data
26. Experience in accounting for professional services at a project level, including both customer billing and project budgeting
27. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 experience is a plus
