Prospero Teaching is delighted to be recruiting for a dedicated, enthusiastic and nurturing Reception Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Hodge Hill, Birmingham from September 2026.
This is a full-time, long-term position offering the opportunity to take full responsibility for a Reception class within a supportive and well-established Early Years team.
As the successful Reception Teacher, you will:
Take full class teaching responsibility for a Reception class
Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum
Plan, prepare and assess pupils’ work to ensure excellent progress
Create a positive, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
Monitor and track pupil attainment and development
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to support pupil outcomes
The Ideal Candidate
school is seeking a teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching within EYFS, ideally Reception
Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisational skills
Has a thorough understanding of the EYFS framework
Is passionate about supporting young learners at the beginning of their educational journey
Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
