As a tutor, you’ll play a key role in every child’s learning journey by delivering lessons that last, building meaningful relationships, and driving academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored sessions using Compass, facilitating learning through questioning, scaffolding, and stretching.
* Build and maintain a safe, inspiring environment for small groups of up to 16 children, encouraging risks and lifelong love of learning.
* Support children aged 4–16 across the national curriculum, including 11+ entrance exams and GCSE preparation, celebrating milestones and successes.

Location and Schedule
* Location: on‑site at the Gloucester centre.
* Contract: part‑time, minimum of 6 hours a week over at least two weekdays; available shift times:
* 3:30‑4:00 pm Tuesday
* 3:30‑4:00 pm Wednesday
* 3:30‑4:00 pm Thursday
* 3:30‑4:00 pm Friday
* Morning/afternoon Saturday
Pay
* Base hourly rate:
* Under 18: £840
* 18‑20: £10.90
* 21+: £12.75
* Additional 50 p per hour when working at a centre inside the M25. Training and inductions are paid.
You earn more as you progress – your rate increases annually based on the number of hours tutored.
Requirements
You must be at least 16 years old, have the right to work in the UK, and have achieved a Grade 6 or above in Maths and English Language at GCSE level (or equivalent). Predicted GCSE grades are acceptable if results are due within the next three months.
