Location: Worksop, S81 7AYHours: 8am - 4pm (40 hours per week average)Shift Pattern: Monday to FridayContract: Fix Term Contract until March 2028, Full TimeAbout the RoleWe're looking for a motivated and driven Deputy Engineering Team Manager to support the delivery of engineering excellence across site. Reporting to the Engineering Team Manager, you'll play a key role in leading the engineering function, ensuring reliability, driving continuous improvement, and supporting operational performance.You'll deputise in the absence of the Engineering Team Manager, taking ownership of team leadership, daily operations, and cross-functional communication to ensure business continuity.What You'll Be Doing Supporting the delivery of engineering strategy, KPIs, and performance targetsDriving a strong Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and food safety cultureLeading and developing a high-performing, multi-skilled engineering teamManaging planned maintenance (via SAP) and improving asset reliabilityDriving continuous improvement through RCA, asset care, and performance dataSupporting and leading engineering and capital projectsManaging contractors and ensuring compliance with site standardsCollaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Technical, and Site LeadershipWhat We're Looking For Essential NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in EngineeringTime-served Multi-Skilled EngineerExperience in FMCG manufacturing environmentStrong maintenance and fault-finding experienceKnowledge of CMMS (e.g. SAP)17th/18th Edition Wiring RegulationsStrong leadership, communication, and organisational skillsAbility to influence and engage across multiple functionsDesirable HNC in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringIOSH / NEBOSH / Food Hygiene / HACCP qualificationsExperience leading engineering teamsElectrical & Mechanical multi-skillingProject delivery experienceAt Premier foods we believe in inclusion, authenticity and individuality.
