Manufacturing Operations Manager

Description
The Operations Manager role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production and operations for the harnesses and power module department.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operations, delivering high-quality products while maintaining safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
* Drive process improvements, optimizing resources, and leading the team to meet production goals in alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
* Develop and execute production strategies to meet business objectives and demand, aligning with the company's overall strategy.
* Lead, motivate, and manage a team of engineers, workshop manager, Quality, Stores and technicians to achieve operational excellence.
* Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve performance in terms of quality, productivity, cost, and delivery.
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the harness and power module production, ensuring smooth workflow, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
* Implement and enforce production schedules, ensuring that resources are optimally allocated to meet production targets.
* Monitor production output to ensure alignment with business expectations and resolve any production bottlenecks.
* Drive continuous improvement in quality by identifying root causes of issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, certifications, and customer requirements related to product quality.
* Optimize manufacturing processes to reduce waste, lower production costs, and improve efficiency without compromising quality. •
* Promote a culture of safety within the production environment, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
* Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components for production.
* Oversee inventory management for raw materials and finished products, minimizing excess stock and avoiding shortages.
* Develop and mentor the production team, providing training and support to enhance their technical and operational skills.
* Work closely with Head of Facility to oversee the maintenance and repair of facilities.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
* Strong & Proven experience in a manufacturing environment and production processes
* Proven leadership and management skills.
* Prior experience managing a production environment.
* Strong knowledge of production and manufacturing processes, preferably within the harness manufacturing industry.
* Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions. •
* Organised, persuasive, resourceful, flexible, ambitious, self-directing, passion for delivering objectives, comfortable challenging existing processes.
* Clear and effective communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Must be a team player.
