About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Nurse to work within our dynamic Poole West 0‑19 Public Health Teams (Health Visiting and School Nursing).
The role involves working with children (0‑11 years) and their families, supporting the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and providing targeted interventions under the supervision of the named Health Visitor or School Nurse while collaborating with all members of the 0‑19 public health team.
Position details
Available post: Part‑time (30 hrs) – Poole West.
Key responsibilities
* For babies and children under 5 years:
o undertake development reviews in a variety of community settings;
o support drop‑in clinics;
o promote health and support families with sleep, feeding and behaviour;
o deliver the 0‑5 Parentline service.
* For school‑aged children:
o promote the health of the school‑aged population and their families;
o deliver school drop‑in clinics;
o provide Parentline 5‑19 service;
o offer enuresis support and 'Request for Support' referrals.
Requirements
* Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required; the Trust will cover the cost.
* Applicants who require current Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible for this position.
