Northwood College requires a dedicated part-time CBT Specialist with a background in Speech and Language Therapy to join our team and support students in enhancing their social communication skills.
The CBT Specialist will work closely with students to address social communication challenges, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques alongside Speech and Language Therapy strategies. This role involves direct intervention, collaboration with staff and parents, and contributing to the development of a supportive school environment.
The post holder will be engaged on a self-employed basis and will be expected to be available for at least one day per week, term time only. They will be responsible for creating their own timetable, agreed by the SLT of the school, to ensure weekly lessons of 50-minutes are taught to their pupils.
The role is estimated to involve between half a day and a full day of teaching, depending on numbers. We would hope and expect this to grow in due course. Candidates will ideally be on the DBS Update Service.
