This post provides an exciting opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Community Rehabilitation team based at Haylodge Community Hospital. Responsibilities
The post will involve working closely with the multi‑disciplinary team to assess and treat patients with the aim of maximising independence and facilitating prompt discharge. The post holder will work within the AHP Peebles Community Team predominantly providing input to the community hospital inpatients and long‑term condition/neuro outpatients service.
Ongoing personal and professional development is essential to provide a quality service and is supported through CPD, appraisals and in‑service training.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience of a broad range of post graduate work including in a variety of specialities such as medical, stroke/neurology, orthopaedics, care of the elderly/rehab, MSK is essential. Experience of working in the community would be desirable.
Legal and Employment Information
To work in the United Kingdom, a valid right to work is required. NHS Scotland will check entitlement to work in the UK. If the candidate is not eligible, potential sponsorship may be possible via a UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa, subject to sponsor licence and salary threshold.
As from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week, with a corresponding increase in hourly rate so pay will not be affected. For part‑time posts, hours will be reduced pro‑rata.
