Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Glascoed.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing solutions
* Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to resolve production issues
* Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
* Developing and maintaining process documentation and work instructions
* Monitoring production metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives
* Providing technical support to production teams and troubleshooting operational problems
* Coordinating with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
Job Requirements
* Experience in manufacturing engineering within the Defence & Security sector
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and methodologies
* Someone who has worked in a lab previously
* Proficiency in using relevant software and tools
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* BPSS security clearance to start
* Ability to work onsite from Monday to Thursday, with flexibility to consolidate 37 hours into 4 days
