Academics, a leading education supply agency, is currently seeking a Secondary School Office Administrator to join one of our partner schools in Halifax. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, personable, and detail-oriented individual looking to support the smooth day-to-day running of a busy secondary school office.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing administrative support to senior leadership, teachers, and support staff
* Answering and directing calls, responding to emails, and greeting visitors
* Maintaining accurate pupil records using SIMS or similar school management systems
* Assisting with attendance monitoring and reporting
* Supporting with school communications, letters, newsletters, and notices
* Managing and updating school databases and filing systems
* Coordinating with external agencies and suppliers where required
Requirements
* Previous experience in a school office or educational setting is essential
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Experience with SIMS (School Information Management System) is highly desirable
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
* A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Academics)
