Sales Manager – Electric Utilities & Data Centre Infrastructure

Role Purpose
As part of our rapid UK growth strategy, the Sales Manager will spearhead business development across the Electric Utilities and Data Centre Infrastructure sectors. The role focuses on building a strong client portfolio, driving new business, meeting revenue targets, and managing complex sales cycles, including PQQs, tenders, and contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow Client's footprint in Electric Utilities and Data Centre Infrastructure.
* Build new business opportunities from the ground up, driving performance to meet and exceed sales targets.
* Manage and deepen client relationships in alignment with Client's commercial strategy, policies, and operating model.
* Identify, engage, and nurture key client stakeholders across the sector.
* Deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and technical demonstrations to internal and external audiences.
* Provide weekly progress reports to senior stakeholders, detailing achievements, risks, and upcoming priorities.
* Capture and communicate Voice of the Customer (VOC) insights to ensure solution alignment with client pain points.
* Stay ahead of market trends, competitive activity, and client behaviour to refine Client's go-to-market strategy.
* Lead end-to-end tendering activities including PQQ completion, bid management, estimating, tender submission, and contract negotiation.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Minimum 8+ years’ experience in sales, business development, or client management within Electric Utilities and/or Data Centre Infrastructure sectors.
* Proven track record in starting and scaling new business initiatives successfully.
* Strong technical expertise across electric utilities systems, data centre infrastructure, and associated engineering solutions.
* Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles including PQQs, tenders, and commercial negotiations.
* Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
* Entrepreneurial, proactive, highly self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
* Fluency in English (verbal and written).
* Established industry connections and a strong network within the utilities and/or DC Infrastructure landscape.
* Need someone who have contacts in electric utilities/DC/power generation/Grid and help business grow faster
Desirable Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a relevant field.
* Experience working in global organisations and handling large, multi-layered deals.
