Job DescriptionJunior Health and Safety Advisor Plymouth Permanent, full-time Competitive salary plus benefitsIf you're passionate about creating safer workplaces, confident in spotting risks before they become problems, and eager to grow your career in Health & Safety, this role is your perfect next step.We're looking for a proactive Junior Health & Safety Advisor to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality SHEQ standards across the business. You'll play a hands-on role in keeping people safe, shaping best practice, and helping us maintain a culture where safety always comes first.What You'll Be Doing
* Supporting the planning, implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality activities
* Carrying out risk assessments, site inspections and accident/incident investigations
* Recording and maintaining accurate SHEQ documentation
* Delivering induction training and internal SHEQ training sessions
* Conducting face-fit testing and ensuring safe use of equipment
* Presenting safety information to employees and managers
* Liaising with customers, HSE and internal SHE teams
* Ensuring compliance with current legislation
* Assisting with audits, spot checks and yard checks
* Promoting a positive safety culture across the organisation
QualificationsWhat You'll Bring
* Excellent attention to detail and a natural ability to identify hazards
* Confidence in recommending practical risk-reduction measures
* Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) - essential
* Ability to hold Tech IOSH status - essential
* Additional qualifications such as ISO knowledge, PTLLS, Environmental Management or Internal Auditor - desirable
* Full clean driving licence
* Willingness to undertake further training and achieve SC Clearance
