An exciting opportunity has arisen for a receptionist to join our Practice, working as part of a team and also able to work using their own initiative. A flexible approach to hours worked to cover other shifts when required is essential.
As the first point of contact for patients, this position requires someone with a welcoming manner who can stay calm under pressure, is confident dealing with the public, and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must also have competent I.T. skills, be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to prioritise your workload. This role involves a wide range of duties including dealing with patients at reception and on the telephone, making appointments, handling laboratory results and general enquiries, generating prescriptions, scanning clinical correspondence, performing general clerical duties, and supporting our clinical team.
A working knowledge of our clinical systems EMIS/DOCMAN would be advantageous; however, training will be provided.
