Supervisor - Manchester Airport
JD Sports Fashion is a leading omni‑channel retailer of Sports Fashion, Outdoors and Gyms, with a global presence and a commitment to innovation and customer focus. We are looking for a Supervisor to join our Manchester Airport store and support the Junior Management team.
Role Overview
As part of the store’s Junior Management team, you will provide managerial support, help maintain and improve customer service levels, supervise staff, and handle daily managerial processes as instructed by Store Management.
Responsibilities
* Deliver excellent customer service by addressing complaints and inquiries, ensuring staff appearance aligns with company guidelines, and understanding the customer service measurement programme.
* Drive and exceed sales targets by monitoring staff service levels, utilizing in‑store devices to offer the full product range, and analysing reports for effective product placement.
* Maintain high visual merchandising standards by using engaging visual techniques, ensuring stock is clean and presentable, and supporting sales floor standards.
* Train and develop staff by assisting with new employee induction, encouraging personal progression, and overseeing the completion of relevant training assessments.
Role Objectives and KPIs
Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target and drive all additional KPIs including Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT. Achieve upselling or cross‑selling targets, maintain a high Net Promoter Score, ensure stock accuracy during store audits, and guarantee all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
Skills and Experience
* Previous supervisory or Team Leader experience in a fast‑paced retail/customer‑facing environment.
* Passionate about retail and a good understanding of the latest trends and our competitors.
* Experience in coaching and mentoring individuals.
* Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain high standards on the shop floor.
* Ability to promote JD Group values to internal and external stakeholders.
