Event & Space Manager – Job Description

Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time (dependent on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and highly presentable Event & Space Manager to take full ownership of our elegant central London venue at 16 Curzon Street. This role combines strategic lead generation, event promotion, operations management, and hands-on delivery of both private and in-house events. You will be the driving force behind activating the space, developing its commercial potential, and curating impactful events for a professional, wellness-conscious audience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and manage a robust lead pipeline of individuals and companies interested in hiring the event space.
- Identify and build partnerships with event planners, businesses, and community leaders.
- Manage CRM tools to track leads, conversions, and engagement.
Marketing & Visibility
- Create and execute strategies to promote the space and build its brand presence online and offline.
- Oversee the presentation and branding of the venue in all client-facing communications and event settings.
Event Production & Delivery
- Lead the coordination and delivery of both external and in-house events, ensuring flawless execution.
- Be present and hands-on during events to manage logistics, client satisfaction, and on-the-day troubleshooting.
- Coordinate vendors, suppliers, catering, AV/tech, props, and equipment.
- Oversee all health and safety requirements and compliance.
Curated In-House Programming
- Work with leadership to conceptualise and deliver signature events, such as:
- Legal and professional networking events
- Wellness and cultural experiences
- AI, well-being, and leadership seminars/courses
- Act as a curator and producer, ensuring these events reflect our brand values and audience interests.
Space Management
- Ensure the venue is always maintained to a high standard, including scheduling of cleaning, repairs, and upkeep.
- Handle venue logistics and be the go-to person for space-related needs.
Operations & Reporting
- Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Provide regular reports on space usage, lead pipeline, and ROI.
- Negotiate and maintain relationships with trusted vendors and suppliers.
About You
- 3–5 years of proven experience in event management, venue operations, or hospitality business development.
- Strong sales and networking skills; comfortable generating leads and pitching to clients.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Calm under pressure, solution-oriented, and able to handle live-event dynamics.
- Confident with CRM systems, budgets, and reporting.
- A genuine interest in AI, wellness, professional development, and/or the creative industries is a plus.
- Highly organised, responsible, and detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of UK health & safety regulations relevant to events.
