We’re looking for a Fire Building Inspector to join our Building Compliance and Facilities team. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for inspecting and certifying fire safety assets across Council and partner buildings—ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
• Inspecting fire doors and compartmentation systems to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, standards, and accessibility requirements.
• Certifying the integrity of fire-resisting construction to help prevent the spread of fire and smoke.
• Providing expert advice and supporting initiatives that promote a safe working environment for staff, partners, and visitors.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in fire safety inspections or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Relevant qualifications in fire safety or building compliance (desirable).
Additional Information
• This role will require independent travel between Council and partner sites.
• A full driving licence is required.
• The postholder may be required to undertake additional training or certification relevant to the role
