Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to help us unlock insights into our business processes and, most importantly, assess the impact of our flagship product, Neighbourhood Alert, on policing and community safety across the UK.
As a key member of our team you will:
* Identify, analyse, and present key trends, impacts, and outcomes using quantitative and qualitative data to drive efficiencies and good practice within the business and across the policing and broader public sector.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of good practice, trends, and potential or active research projects that could present business opportunities to partner with like-minded organisations, e.g. the College of Policing, the Home Office, and individual police forces.
* Analyse and present the findings from national surveys (circa 135,000 respondents across a significant question set), which the business undertakes with members of the public who have signed up for the Neighbourhood Alert platform.
Responsibilities
Will include but not be limited to:
* Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance and insight and present results to company directors in an easy-to understand and impactful format.
* To develop and maintain performance KPI dashboards for each client, working alongside Company Directors and Account Liaison Executives to identify SWOT for each client to help effective account management.
* To identify any missed opportunities for data capture on the Neighbourhood Alert dataset to measure impact and outcomes both as a business and for clients.
* Exploring, promoting, and implementing semantic data capabilities through Natural Language Processing, text analysis and machine learning techniques.
* To use multiple datasets to gain a rich insight into public engagement with the police and the impact of campaigns from local and national clients to identify good practice and 'what works'.
* To visualise findings for various channels as part of marketing and PR campaigns, official reports and business proposals.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
* Relevant degree, which includes strong quantitative and analytical focus (or equivalent work experience) and adept at managing and analysing large and complex data using statistical software.
* Advanced knowledge of SQL and Power BI.
* Experience in producing professional presentations and business reports for various stakeholders.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and the ability to prioritise efficiently.
* Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple, accessible and impactful manner, including writing reports and presentations for various stakeholders.
* Experience in coordinating/managing multiple projects.
* Knowledge of GDPR and employment laws.
Desirable
* Experience within public sector or policing environment.

Police Vetting
The successful applicant must pass Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Level 3 to be able to fulfil the role.
Salary
£35,000 - £45,000, depending upon experience and qualifications.
