Overview
Be among the first to apply for a Data Exploitation Engineer role with Boeing Defence UK (BDUK). This position supports new business opportunities and existing product platforms, primarily for fixed and rotor wing aircraft. The department focuses on engineering data exploitation, reliability, support analysis, and related areas as part of a matrix organisation.
Responsibilities
* Utilise aircraft fleet data to generate actionable insights that support decision-making and enhance operational performance
* Work closely with engineering teams and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency across all projects
* Set, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for data exploitation activities to measure progress and success
* Drive continuous improvement in data exploitation processes and methodologies to optimise efficiency and effectiveness
In addition to technical work, support company initiatives such as quality improvements, promoting a safety culture, diversity and inclusion, mentoring, coaching, STEM outreach, and other focus projects to support growth of the company and its employees.
Essential Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills)
* Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain UK SC security clearance
* Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited program
* Data Proficiency: Experience working with data and software, with advanced skills in data analysis, modelling, and calculations
* Technical Proficiency: Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI, including dashboard creation
* Interdisciplinary Knowledge: Understanding of how Data Exploitation integrates with R&M, Design, Dependability, Safety, ILS, and Asset Management
* Commitment to Quality: Proven ability to consistently deliver high-quality results
Preferred Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills)
* Aircraft Maintenance Experience
* Data-Driven Environment: Comfortable working in a data-centric environment, using analytics to guide decision-making
* Defence Background: Experience in the defence industry
* Effective Communicator: Proactive, solution-focused attitude with strong communication skills
* Knowledge of database manipulation and management including BI tools with development background

* This role is onsite with flexible working hours
* Locally hired in the UK; candidates must have current legal authorization to work in the UK
