Joining us as the Head of Sourcing Unit – Quality, you’ll be responsible for a number of Clusters and ensure all Food Safety and Quality standards are up to scratch through strategic leadership
About the role...
This role is known for providing cluster and SU leadership, advice and expertise across all elements of Food Safety and Quality to ensure that Nomad Foods produces high quality, safe products with minimal environmental impact in a healthy, safe workplace. Supports delivery of the strategy, plans, standards and systems across the Nomad Foods Group, delivering results by acting as a change agent, working collaboratively with key stakeholders and influencing others on organisational quality and food safety, ensuring high standards of product quality. A crucial role in driving maturity & compliance across the entire business
* Supports in developing and implementing the vision and strategy for Food Safety and Quality Culture at Nomad Foods.
* Support and implement Nomad Food’s Quality Management systems.
* Develop, update and maintain policies, standards, Safe Systems, Safe Assets, Safe Behaviours and Safe Procedures.
* Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to build and implement executable plans, systems and ways of working to ensure high standards of food safety and quality assurance.
* Coach and develop both direct and indirect teams to ensure consistency across the group
About you...
An experienced food safety and Quality specialist who delivers results and changes behaviours by inspiring, influencing and coaching others. Leads by example and with humility, developing strong relationships and building extensive internal and external networks. A leader that is able to manage ambiguity and build clarity around complex situations. Aligns others around the Nomad Foods purpose and values to build and embed our One Nomad culture. Passionate about food, people, our products, the environment and safety. Proactively engages with external bodies at National & European level
* Track record of driving Food Safety and Quality cultural maturity
* Food manufacturing experience is ESSENTIAL
* Comprehensive understanding and exposure to International Food Safety and Quality Legislation and standards.
* Experience of working collaboratively in a matrix organisation.
* Extensive crisis management and product recall experience gained within a multi-national food business
* Education or working experience in Quality Assurance Management desired.
