The Role
:
As a Cleaning Manager, you will take responsibility for coordinating all cleaning and waste management operations across your assigned sites. You will lead and support a team of operatives, manage schedules, uphold health & safety standards, and act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams.
This role is to cover a variety of locations, predominantly London but also Sunderland, Gloucestershire, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Southampton so you must be happy to stay away for upto 2 weeks at a time.

Key Responsibilities:
5. Oversee daily cleaning and waste management operations
6. Lead, motivate, and support site staff
7. Ensure full compliance with health & safety and environmental regulations
8. Carry out regular site inspections and quality audits
9. Maintain accurate records and operational reports
10. Build and maintain positive client relationships, addressing issues as needed
11. Communicate effectively with senior management
12. Monitor and manage stock levels of materials and equipment
13. Resolve operational challenges promptly and efficiently
About You:
We are looking for an organised, confident, and experienced individual with strong people-management abilities and a background in cleaning, facilities, or waste management operations. Ideally you will have experience in the Events industry as experience in a fast paced, challenging environment is essential
Essential:
14. Previous experience in a cleaning management role
15. Strong leadership and communication skills
16. Solid understanding of cleaning practices and waste management standards
17. Up-to-date knowledge of waste procedures and sustainability initiatives
18. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
19. Knowledge of health & safety regulations
20. Flexible and responsive approach to operational needs
Desirable:
21. Full UK driving license
