About the Role
NFU Mutual's Surrey Agency is seeking a professional and client-focused Insurance Account Executive to join our growing team. This is a key role responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of established clients, including SME Commercial Businesses and High Net Worth personal lines. You will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring clients receive tailored insurance solutions that meet their evolving needs while delivering exceptional service at every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain a portfolio of existing clients across SME commercial and affluent homeowners.
* Continually develop a pipeline of prospects, actively working and converting into new business opportunities & sales.
* Liaise with underwriters and internal teams to secure the best terms for clients.
* Review client policies regularly to ensure appropriate coverage and identify opportunities for enhancement.
* Build strong, long‑term relationships through proactive communication and high‑quality service.
* Handle renewals, mid‑term adjustments, and policy queries efficiently and accurately.
* Identify cross‑selling and upselling opportunities within the existing client base.
* Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulations and internal compliance standards.
About You
* General insurance experience.
* Knowledge of commercial insurance and high‑net‑worth personal lines.
* Probably working in general insurance and looking for the next step up into account management, rather than an experienced portfolio account manager.
* Good communication and relationship‑building skills.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Proactive approach with a focus on delivering client value.
