Main duties of the Vehicle Technician:
Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles
Accurately diagnose faults and report on vehicle conditions, safety, reliability, and performance to the Service Manager
Ensure all work is carried out to the standards set by the franchise and client specifications
Adhere strictly to health and safety procedures and quality standards at all times
Work efficiently within a team to meet targets and deliver high-quality workmanship
Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment, ensuring tools and equipment are well-managed
Support the Service Manager in delivering excellent customer service and workshop performance
Candidate Specification for the role:
IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Minimum of one to two years practical experience as a Vehicle Technician preferred
Own set of tools suitable for vehicle maintenance and repair
A valid UK driving licence with minimal points
Good team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
Motivated to work towards team targets and continuous professional development
Prior experience within a franchise-approved dealership is advantageous but not essential
An active MOT Smart Card would be beneficial, though not mandatory
