Key responsibilities Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across all Reed Learning products and services. Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base. Establish Reed Learning as a trusted partner and first-choice provider for clients, building lasting relationships with new and existing customers. Represent the company at industry events, including conferences, trade shows, and networking opportunities, to enhance brand presence and foster new relationships. Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs and align with our product offerings. Develop and deliver persuasive presentations and tailored proposals to prospective clients, effectively showcasing Reed Learning’s full suite of offerings. Produce insightful reports that communicate business development outcomes and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders. Provide accurate sales forecasts and regularly report on key performance indicators to support data-driven decision-making. Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs, translating insights into strategies that drive business growth. Engage in ongoing professional development, including participation in staff training and staying informed about sector trends and legislative changes relevant to the L&D industry. Skills and experience Proven experience in business development or sales within the Learning & Development or education sector. Demonstrable success in winning new business and exceeding sales targets. Strong networking skills with the ability to build and nurture long-term relationships. Experience working with decision-makers at various levels, with a consultative approach and the ability to adapt to clients’ unique values and requirements. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong organisational skills, with a focus on time management, planning, and attention to detail. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Professional, credible, and confident in representing a respected brand.
