Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional dishes. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and staff.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications.
* Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
* Handle any customer complaints or feedback regarding food quality or service.
Experience
* Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
* Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices.
* Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively within a team.
* Previous experience supervising kitchen staff is highly desirable.

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
