Scottish Orthodontics is a long established reputable orthodontics provider across Edinburgh. Join us and become part of our professional team of Orthodontists, Orthodontic Therapists, Dental Nurses and IN-House Lab technicians.
We are seeking a Receptionist to join our team in providing excellent patient service and administrative support. The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and proficient in various office/reception tasks. An ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a calm disposition is essential in this role.
This role is also open to anyone who is new to working as a receptionist, as training will be provided.
Duties
* Greet and welcome patients in a professional and friendly manner
* Answer and direct phone calls using proper phone etiquette
* Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
* Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
* Maintain reception area cleanliness and tidiness
* Assist with clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents
* Utilise computerised systems for scheduling appointments and managing records
* Handle administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the office
Skills and Qualifications
* Key qualities: An excellent communicator and friendly
* IT literate: Microsoft Office & Google Workspace
* Dental software experience would be helpful but not essential as training will be provided
* Excellent phone etiquette skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Previous experience in an office/reception or administrative role is advantageous
* Ability to type accurately and quickly for data entry purposes
