Overview
Contract Type: Permanent. Working Hours: Full Time, 35 hours, 8.15-3.45 term time only (13 weeks holiday) + 5 training days. Number of positions: 1. Qualifications Required: GCSE minimum Grade 4 or C and above. Start Date: 1 October 2025. Salary: Estimated actual salary £25,000.39.
Responsibilities
* The role ensures that all students with SEND are identified, supported, and able to access their education effectively by strategically supporting provision, processes, and collaboration with staff, families, and external professionals, without undertaking in-class support duties.
* Support and complement the work of teaching staff across the school by delivering specific learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes, particularly within the designated subject or specialist area.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging learning activities; monitor, assess, record, and report on students’ progress, achievement, and development.
* Work within an agreed system of supervision and take responsibility for the delivery of learning activities as part of the school’s wider academic and pastoral life.
Qualifications and experience
Experience working in a secondary school environment and a relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent is essential.
