The Burford Recruitment Company is proud to be partnering with a successful commercial laundry business in their search for an experienced Appliance Maintenance Engineer. This role offers flexibility in hours and the opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team on a permanent basis.
As an Appliance Engineer, you will play a key role in the installation, servicing, and repair of commercial laundry equipment, ensuring it operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, service, and repair a range of industrial and commercial laundry appliances
* Diagnose faults and carry out effective, timely repairs
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
* Keep detailed records of work carried out and parts used
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and company procedures
* Keep up to date with evolving technologies and repair methods
* Support wider site maintenance tasks, contributing to the overall upkeep of the premises
About You
* Relevant qualifications in appliance repair or a related discipline
* Proven experience in a similar engineering role
* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
* Able to work independently and manage your time effectively
* A full, valid UK driving licence is essential
* Additional experience in electrical, mechanical, heating, or plumbing systems is a plus
Salary and Benefits
* ompetitive salary of £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (DOE)
